Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 (2010)

So....... finally I got about to writing this post, and trust me, I felt reviewing Justin Bieber [JB]'s album would be a daunting task. The hardest part was to be impartial and post something agreeable to my consciousness as well as true for the world to read.

I will also try to explain why Rock/Metal followers [like me], constantly badmouth JB, to those who just can't figure out this sort of a response to their 'heart-throb' Justin. Yeah, everyone is entitled to their opinion in a democracy, but don't you think someone will point out to you , for e.g., that there are indeed better cars than your almost-vintage Maruti 800.That there are indeed better places to eat out than the filthy road-side stand you frequent.

This happens only when people, your friends, try to improve your quality of life by introducing you to something which is definitely better (sic.) than what you are currently experiencing. This is the case with JB v Anti-JB battle being fought out dirty through-out the Internet and mass-media.

JB holds the record for the most disliked video [a planned attack] on YouTube.I'm impressed by JB fans [if any] that they have restrained themselves by launching a similar scathing attack on Rock and Metal videos, which eventually would have failed any way.So, I guess they're smart enough to have forseen this!

Wasting no more time, I'm getting down to the actual review now.

My World 2.0 ----------------------- ***ooooooo          [3/10]

Starting off with the wildly popular track, Baby, featuring Ludacris. There's nothing special in this track according to me.In fact it accentuates JB's yet immature vocal chords and pre-puberty love.

Next up is the only track which finds some credibility with me. The chorus of Somebody To Love had huge potential to explode, but it didn't, leaving much to be desired.

Stuck In The Moment finds itself on the same boat as the previous track.Waiting, waiting and some more waiting, but it never reaches some level.

U Smile is probably the most disgusting song on the record.

By now I realise that each song is influenced and that I've heard 'this' tune somewhere or the other.Really nothing original. Lowers my impression of JB further.

Runaway Love seems like just another song.Looks like my decision's made and I'm switching off the music now.But what the hell, let's give this boy a chance.I grind ahead.

Never Let You Go is definitely better than the last two tracks.Still I'd rather listen to Linkin Park's most ordinary song 'The Messenger'.

Overboard is boring. Till now whatever JB has done in his tracks have already been explored in the past and there's absolutely nothing new!

Eenie Meenie, featuring Sean Kingston is your generic Top Ten tracks that annoy us on commercial Music Channels on T.V.No musical value at all.

The last two tracks Up and That Should Be Me are worthless.

Let me be clear.Guys, there are NO guitars and NO drums on this album. Also I'm sick of him using the 'B'-word as often as a Bhaiyya spits out paan in Mumbai.Seriously can't he think of anything else?

If I ever get to talk to Justin Bieber [I sure won't be praying for it!], the only thing I would say is "Beta, anybody can sing before his voice cracks.Even I could go higher than Chester has ever dreamed of. Let's see how you do after you pass this stage of life.Cash in on your success now, and attend school, 'coz you won't be anywhere in the music industry five years down the line."

This album is OK, if it just plays in the background and you have low expectations and self-esteem.
